Sicamous squeezes a lot of intrigue and beauty into one small package. On the shores of Mara and Shuswap lakes, Sicamous is one of the largest centres in the spectacular Shuswap Region, second only to Salmon Arm. Drawn by its striking landscapes and endless recreational pursuits, few can resist its allure-explaining why thousands flock here year-round to take advantage of the area's feast of activities which include fishing, golfing at the Eagle River and Hyde Mountain golf courses and soaking up the rays at one of the many local beaches. Its most popular pastime has earned Sicamous the title of "Houseboating Capital of Canada", with over 250 of the watercraft available for rent. Whether visitors decide to hop on a boat and explore area waters or strap on some hiking boots to experience one of its magnificent trails or waterfalls, Sicamous leaves those who come to experience it with an insatiable appetite to return.
